Hejtman Olomouckého kraje Ladislav Okleštěk vyhlásil v pátek 4. dubna na základě doporučení České inspekce životního prostředí zákaz vstupu a pohybu osob v bezprostředním okolí havárie vlaku s benzenem u nádrží v Hustopečích nad Bečvou.
Omezení se týká zejména východní části hustopečského jezera. Lidé se nemají přibližovat k břehům vodní plochy na méně než tři metry. Zákaz se vztahuje také na pohyb plavidel po nádrži a rybolov.
Nařízení má jednak usnadnit zasahujícím složkám práci při odklízení následků havárie, a pak také snížit zdravotní rizika pro osoby, které by se v bezprostředním okolí místa nehody pohybovaly.
Vlak převážející benzen vykolejil u Hustopečí nad Bečvou 28. února. Na místě nehody vybudovali záchranáři speciální stěnu, která plně obepíná kontaminovanou oblast a zasahuje až za železniční trať. Jejím účelem je zabránit další kontaminaci okolí místa havárie.
